Dr. Martha Greenberg grew up in Fayette, Alabama. She graduated professional school at Southern College of Optometry. After graduation, settled in Russellville, AL, and raised her three children there. Dr. Martha (as most patients call her) served as president of the Northwest Alabama Optometric Society for several years. She has also served on the Alabama Optometric Association Board of Directors and was recently the president of the Alabama Optometric Association.
Dr. Martha served 8 years on the Southern College of Optometry Board of Trustees and was the first female to become the chairperson of the Board of Trustees. She chaired the 75th Anniversary of the Southern College of Optometry and in 2006, Dr. Martha was honored by Southern College of Optometry with the coveted "Lifetime Achievement Award."
Dr. Martha was named at the last Alabama Optometric Association convention as the 2009 "Alabama Optometrist of the Year." Also in 2009, Dr. Martha was named as the first female ever to be named as the "Optometrist of the South!" This award was for the 12 southern states.
Dr. Martha was appointed by the governor of Alabama to serve on the Alabama Board of Optometry for 5 years. Additionally, on the Southern Council of Optometry, Dr. Martha has represented Alabama as an Ambassador for the largest regional optometrist program in the county. Dr. Martha recently has been named as the Trustee for the state of Alabama to the Southern Council.
Dr. Martha loves watching football (college and pro), playing bridge, cooking, and reading mystery novels in her spare time.
Dr. Stuart Greenberg grew up in Russellville, Alabama. He attended Russellville High School, University of South Florida, and graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 2001. While in Optometry School, he participated in a four-month clinical rotation through a military base in Panama City. He also served in a contact lens rotation in Florida. Dr. Greenberg places a special emphasis on providing care for elderly patients' vision and eye health welfare.
Dr. Stuart Greenberg is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Alabama Optometric Association, and the Northwest Alabama Optometric Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Greenberg enjoys working out and playing in a tennis league.
Dr. Wayne Stevens is a native of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He attended Muscle Shoals High School before receiving his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Stevens took two years off during his undergraduate education to serve a church mission in Colombia. While there he was able to become fluent in Spanish and later honed those skills while studying at UAB. He earned his doctorate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. Stevens currently lives in Russellville with his wife Fauna, and two children, Ian and Cali. He is an avid college football fan, loves to go camping and hiking with his family, and enjoys working on computers.
